2nd Tuesday of each month: 8am-6pm
The Desert Botanical Garden has free admission on the second Tuesday of each month from 8am to 6pm. The Garden and the neighboring Phoenix Zoo are accessible from the bus line but not by the light rail. Best advice is to check the bus schedule, as times and bus numbers are subject to change. The Desert Botanical Garden is 140 acres located in Papago Park at 1201 N Galvin Parkway in Phoenix. Founded by the Arizona Cactus and Native Flora Society in 1937 and established at this site in 1939, the garden now has more than 50,000 plants in more than 4,000 taxa, one-third of which are native to the area; it includes 379 species which are rare, threatened or endangered.
All guests are required to register and have a timed-entry ticket prior to arriving. Click here to register for free.
